The client came to us with a clear brief: a crisp, modern kitchen with seamless visual symmetry, high performance, and engineering-level attention to detail. A passionate cook, he also had specific requirements around flooring, cabinetry, appliance placement, and extraction, all of which needed to be perfectly balanced with the new open-plan layout. A key element was to retain the existing tiled floor.

This design features the Touch range from Nobilia in White, a durable, matte lacquered laminate that creates a soft, light finish. Upper wall units are shown in Riva concrete-effect laminate, adding depth and subtle contrast. The worktops are Laminam porcelain for maximum durability and heat resistance. Custom-made bi-folding doors above the ovens maintain a consistent visual line across the elevation, adding to the clean, cohesive look. A bespoke oak transition piece was crafted to bridge the old kitchen and dining room flooring, an elegant solution that avoids visual disruption.

With a limited amount of wall space for the hob and extractor, precise measurements were essential. The SMEG hob and extractor had to sit exactly centred between the two windows, requiring customised corner posts and meticulous installation. The fridge housing was constructed to exact bespoke measurements, with goalpost-style surrounds that made for a true matchbox fit. Behind the scenes, the installation team made room for a large water softener by adjusting the sink base and rebuilding the unit from the inside out. Other thoughtful inclusions: Lemans corner systems, oil and spice pull-outs near the hob, and interior drawers optimised for the client's daily routine.

From the earliest planning stages, this project demanded accuracy and adaptability. We managed all stages, from the removal of internal walls to final fit-out, liaising closely with the client, an experienced engineer, to deliver a result that would pass even the most exacting eye. With all components factory-prepared and carefully calculated, the on-site installation was seamless, thanks to the craftsmanship of our in-house team.

The result is a refined, high-spec kitchen that works as beautifully as it looks. Every detail, from the extractor performance to the precise cabinet lines, reflects the client’s vision and Kitchen Lifestyles’ commitment to quality.
